When the sun rises over the New Forest and, as in this photograph where the season is changing from summer to autumn, colours can be spectacular.
Add in flowering heather and the opportunity for something special can unfold right in front of you. Watching the sunrise somewhere like this can be peaceful and calm. When you’re photographing it’s the opposite! You have work out how the scene will show itself as the sun comes up. On this occasion the foreground was very dark but, the horizon had an incredible warm glow, I knew it could turn into something special.
The two paths diverging into the distance towards misty valleys gives an unusual element of intrigue too.
Printed with high longevity pigment inks on high quality, 310gsm, wide colour gamut paper from Fotospeed. Beech frame with plexiglass.
