Early February near Lyndhurst, and the low winter sun was breaking through the bare branches with perfect timing. The golden sunlight caught the lightly frosted bracken and brought warm illumination to the misty air, creating those subtle rays that transform an ordinary woodland path into something special.

I took time to position myself to capture the perfect alignment of all the elements. The contrast between the stark winter branches and the soft, golden atmosphere makes these early mornings in the New Forest magical to me.
