This small pond in the New Forest is tucked away on a gentle slope not visible from most directions. I’d hoped for amazing light as the sun came up on the horizon behind me. I was thankful that didn’t happen because, I was able to capture this ethereal photograph of the Silver Birch growing out of the tiny island. It looks like its neighbour wasn’t so lucky.
