Weather, and light specifically, can dictate how a photo shoot plays out. On this lovely cool morning I’d walked through woodland looking for compostions, and not having much luck. As I approached the Wide Lawn area I noticed a low level mist hanging in the air in an unusual layer. The ground was covered but the mist stopped and revealved the trees above. It looked great. Then, towards me walked a pony coming out of the mist. It was peaceful and serene as it gradually came towards me. Then it stopped. I was some way away so a quick change of lens was needed to zoom in and got the shot just before it walked off.  I felt so very lucky and grateful to be in the right place at the right in our beautiful forest.
