Hatchet pond is a very popular location for visitor to the New Forest. With its open water, great walks and, frequent visits from New Forest ponies and donkeys it’s understandable. Being there around sunrise on a cold and clear Februarymorning was quite special. The trees lean slightly due to their open location and strong winds coming in off the nearby coast. On this morning, they were gently lit by the morning glow just after sunrise.
There always seems to be a slight breeze here and this morning was no exception. So, I slowed this shot right down to give a smooth be natural surface to the water.
