This area is a firm favourite for photographers, mainly for the nearby Mogshade Pond. It’s also a great walk down the gentle slope, into the valley then up the hill in front through the Lucas Castle area and on towards Andrew’s Mare pond.
On this beautiful April morning the heavy mist lingered as the sun came up, it wasn’t strong enough to burn off the mist allowing for this unusual shot of bright sunshine lighting the mist from the mid ground all the way down the valley and up into background.
It took a bit of trial and error to get the trees and path arranged in the optimum way to produce this tranquil scene.
