The New Forest is full of surprises. This little pond is not visible from most directions. I’d hoped for amazing light when the sun came up but, just before sunrise these pastel hues of lovely colour showed the Silver Birch growing out of the tiny island. The little plant in the water gives some foreground interest from which your eye is drawn into the picture.
