Sometimes a I get call for shots to meet a specific need or purpose. I could check my catalogue, but the requirement was for new photographs of New Forest ponies. So, off I went before sunrise (as usual) to find some ponies and hoped for a clear sunrise beside or behind them. I hit the jackpot almost immediately. A number of lovely ponies were making their way across the moor and the sun was just coming up. For once, my plan actually played out perfectly.
This lovely white pony complete with reflective collar was happily munching away on patches of grass with early morning sun delivering a warm glow across the heather. It turned to one side which makes it look totally natural and not all bothered by me, fortunately.
